60 Day Picture Challenge

Day 51: A picture of your dream car
the Acura NSX Concept
I'm not going to pretend to know anything about cars, but I have always been attracted to the look and feel of Acura sports cars. I sold my precious teal Acura before leaving to Japan so when I searched for what could be considered an "upgraded" version of my old car, I saw this beauty. Vroom, vroom ;)

Day 21: Something I could never tire of
Massages
I've heard of people who don't enjoy them and I think they're crazy. To me, nothing feels more luxurious than a professional massage, but I'll also take amateurs any day. I'm constantly saddling up next to my boyfriend so that he can massage me but I guess you can call me a massage whore, cause I'll let anyone who doesn't have a creeper smile massage me. ^o^

Day 50: A picture of  your most frequented place
Hikami High School
It was a close contest between other places in my little town that I go to during a regular week but I'm here three times a week. Most other schools in Japan look very similar - a grey rectangular building with the school's name displayed - but I'm thankful that Hikami was recently renovated inside out, so it has some visual appeal. The agricultural specialty also means that it is larger in land size than most other schools and has nice green pastures to stroll about in. To see what I'm talking about, check out more pictures of Hikami from my school's cultural festival.

Day 20: A childhood anecdote
Peer Pressure (Fail): When I was younger I was always super hyper and would climb anything I could. For fun, I would climb on top of my dresser and jump down to bed below. I was (was?) also a bit bossy, so when my friend came over, I decided that we do that for fun. Problem was that she was older and slightly more pudgy than I was so when she jumped, she slammed into the side of the bed. In a panic to not get in trouble, I started rubbing body lotion on her stomach to make it feel better before I eventually went to find our moms. She was ok, but to this day she still playfully chides me about it today and we laugh. I usually snap back that it wasn't the only time she followed me in a climbing challenge. Another time she got stuck in a tree for a good hour. Good times, right Jewels? ;D

Day 49: A picture of where you live

I LIVE IN JAPAN!
Japan is beautiful country; my apartment, not so much. Instead of featuring that, I put some diverse pictures from my time in Japan so far since out experiencing it is where I spend most of my time.

Day 48: A Picture of your favorite actor/actress

Leonardo DiCaprio
I've always enjoyed his acting and now I tend to trust any movie that he's in to be exceptional.
Plus he's hot. ;)

Day 18: What I wore today

This is a picture from September, but I still wear the same Pj's and I wore them alllll day today while I did nothing. It was great.

Day 47: A picture of your favorite place to shop

New York City
On my two getaways to NYC, I spent a lot of time blissfully alone with the city and loved it. I was able to shop at my leisure, casually stroll into side-street boutiques, and find some really unique stuff.

Day 17: My family

Cuban families are big. This is just my mom's side while my dad's side is three times as big as this. Cuban families are also close, so we often get together. Here, we just finished having a family breakfast at Casa Larios, a Cuban restaurant (of course, lol). Can you tell I'm quite proud to be Cuban?
My dad and my brother. My parents aren't together and my brother lives in Nyc, so I couldn't leave them out!
My mini schnauzer, Joey. Pets are family and those who don't treat them as such don't deserve the unconditional love they give. I've had him for 9 years and don't even want to imagine my family without him. I miss him so much while I'm in Japan!
My dwarf rabbit, Honey Bunny Bon Bon (bonbon for short ^^). He's the newest addition to my family although I've wanted one for a long time. A series of serendipitous events led me to him and I couldn't be happier. People have asked me if I'm going to take him back to America with me and while to them it might be a valid question, to me it's not a question at all (see above).

Day 46: A picture of where you wish you were right now
Tanning on a beach in Miami with friends, eating un pan con bistec (from none other than El Rey de las Fritas) with my family just a car ride away.
Yup, it's where I want to be.

Day 16: Someone who inspires me
My other challenge already asked me about someone who inspires me but, I didn't want to change the challenge because like anyone, I have multiple inspirations.
Ms. Bandy here is someone who I've seen evolve over the years and have grown closer to in each one. I am truly inspired by the changes she constantly makes to improve herself intellectually, physically, and emotionally. She's made hard decisions to remove herself from people who do her no good and to do what's best for her future. We're both on a path to being the best versions of ourselves that we can be, and I find that she motivates me in that journey.

Day 45: A picture of your room
Not my room back home, but I've made this a place that I want to be and can relax in.

Day 15: Some style inspiration for the season
Elegant Winter Coats!
A friend of mine had this first picture up on her blog and I couldn't agree more! To me, there's something about wearing long, fitted coats that makes me feel fierce! Coming from a warm climate, I only have a few, but I hope to get more soon! In Japan, I see a lot of the kind of style below to the left. Below to the right is the kind of fashionable weather-proofing I'm going to need for my trip to Hokkaido next month. So excited!
