Day 07 - A picture of your most treasured item.

| My most treasured item is irreplaceable. It is priceless. Therefore it is not in Japan... My old family photos are precious to me. Unlike kids today who take pictures daily on their phones or other digital media, the photos from my generation's childhood and those of their family members are usually limited to a few photo albums. When my parents tell me the story behind the photos I see in the albums, I really listen. This act of preserving information via oral communication is a thing of the past and so, the accompanying picture becomes a treasure as a key to part of my history. This is my dad looking like a total bamf (look it up). He told me this was the I.D. picture taken for the records after he was hired my the Miami Beach Fire Department almost 30 years ago; one the most important days of his life. |

Day 07 - A song that reminds you of a certain event
Again with 9/11!? I swear I'm not trying to be depressing, but since this day asks for a specific event, I went with it. Like I said in another post, the sadness of that day affected me greatly. I don't focus on the conspiracy theories or war that followed. Instead, I listen to this song every year on the anniversary and think about the people whose lives changed forever... or were forever lost.
